The investigation of the efficacy and safety of stromal vascular fraction in the treatment of nanofat-treated acne scar: a randomized blinded controlled clinical trial.

BACKGROUND: Acne is the most common skin disorder which is known as a chronic inflammatory disease with psychological burden and reduced quality of life. Adipose tissue-derived stromal vascular fraction (SVF) is recognized as a source of regenerative cells and improves the quality of skin by increasing collagen content. To date, a few studies have been performed on the therapeutic role of SVF in the treatment of acne scars. METHODS: This randomized, single-blinded clinical trial was performed on 7 patients with acne scars. In all patients, the initial grade of acne (volume, area and depth) was evaluated and ultrasound of the relevant scar was performed to evaluate neocollagenesis. As a spilt face study, for treating the scars, we used nanofat subcutaneously on one side of the face (control group) and combination of nanofat subcutaneously and SVF intradermally on the opposite side (intervention group). The patients were evaluated for severity of acne by visioface after one month, also for thickness of epidermis and dermis by ultrasound after one month and three months. RESULTS: All of the apparent findings of scars improved in two groups after one month, but these changes were significant just for the group treated with SVF (p value < 0.05). Epidermal, dermal and complete thicknesses during the first month in both control and intervention groups were significantly increased (p value < 0.05) but between the first and third months, there was no significant difference in the variables (p value > 0.05). The findings showed that dermal and complete thicknesses of the skin in the first month were different between two groups significantly (p value: 0.042 and 0.040, respectively). CONCLUSION: The use of SVF in the treatment of patients with acne scars accelerates the improvement of volume, area and depth of the scar by increasing collagen content and the dermal thickness, so it can be used as a potentially effective treatment for these patients.

Endolift laser an effective method for the lower eye bag treatment: a case series study.

Numerous individuals suffer from the lower eye bag. Lower eye bag treatment is a challenge that might require new methods. Depending on the cause, there are different treatment approaches to reduce puffiness under the eyes. In this pilot study, 9 patients with lower eye bags received Endolift therapy (200-300-nm fiber) and were followed up for 6 months. The patients were evaluated according to biometric characteristics. Additionally, outcomes were evaluated by three blinded dermatologists, and patients' satisfaction was assessed. The obtained biometric results showed that Endolift laser treatment could increase both the dermis and epidermis of the skin and skin elasticity in this area. Furthermore, the results indicated that Endolift therapy showed good and very good improvement in about 90% of patients. Photographic data evaluation indicated a 90% improvement in the appearance of eye bags (P < 0.05). Endolift laser seems to be a safe and effective method for lower eye bag treatment. It is a noninvasive treatment with satisfactory results with minimal downtime and side effects. Endolift therapy significantly reduces the appearance of eye bags and wrinkles and increases skin elasticity under the eyes; therefore, it is an effective method for lower eye bag treatment. The method is pain-free, bloodless, and without the need for stitches. Endolift therapy allows the patient to avoid surgery.

Endolift laser an effective treatment modality for forehead wrinkles and frown line.

BACKGROUND: The search of beauty and youth has received a lot of attention which is proved by increasing cosmetic techniques. The people prefer non-surgical and invasive method for reduction and wrinkles treatment. METHODS: In this study, we used Endolift laser for forehead wrinkles and frown line treatment to evaluate the clinical safety and effectiveness of this technique for reduction of forehead wrinkles and frown line. A total of 9 patients with forehead wrinkles and frown line were included in the current study. The results were investigated using biometric evaluation. Also, assessment was performed clinically and photographically, and physician's assessment and patient satisfaction responses were recorded. RESULTS: According to the biometric results, the skin thickness and elasticity significantly increase after Endolift laser treatment. According to the physician's assessment, 90% of patients displayed very much improvement after Endolift laser treatment, and according to the patient assessment, 91% of patients reported positive satisfaction response. CONCLUSION: Treatment with Endolift laser is safe and an effective method for decrease of forehead wrinkles and frown line treatment. It offers as a non-invasive alternative technique in compared to other invasive procedures for forehead wrinkles and frown line treatment.

Endolift laser for jowl fat reduction: clinical evaluation and biometric measurement.

Recently, jawline rejuvenation and jowl fat treatment methods have received a lot of attention. Many people are extremely upset and complain about the excess fat under the chin or neck and jowl. The study suggests a new procedure for targeting the jowl fat using Endolift laser, highlighting on the feasibility, convenience, and safety of the technique. Nine patients with pinchable fat on the jawline were enrolled in the study. The Endolift laser was performed for jowl fat treatment for each patient. The results of the treatment were measured by biometric assessment. Also the results were evaluated by 3 board-certified dermatologists (blind). Furthermore, patients' satisfaction was appraised at the end of the treatment. The biometric results showed that Endolift laser can increase the thickness, density, and elasticity of the skin in the jowl area. The patients' satisfaction results showed good and very good improvement in all of the patients (90%). The results by the dermatologist displayed good and very good improvement in about 90% of the patients. The outcomes of this experience displayed that Endolift laser is a safe and effective nonsurgical method for jowl reduction.
